We are bilingual and German books help make the language more popular with my little one. It works with the Pettersson and Findus series, because he absolutely loves it. It's a lot of text for a three year old, yet he soaks up the story and wants to read it again and again. A plus the pictures are absolutely gorgeous! There is so much to discover, though not everything is "real". The author obviously harbors a distinct love for detail. The German translation I am not very fond of. The interpreter/ translator apparently is eager to employ a language that is popular with the youth at a certain time, though I think the age range the series targets is much too young and would have preferred a more idealistic choice of words. The punctuation is sometimes startling as if jotted down while someone is talking. I resolved to "better" these glitches, especially as I read them more and more often.

Very entertaining! Great illustrations.
Mein 3 Jaehriger liebt dieses Buch, wir haben es gerade noch vor dem Mittagschlaf gelesen. Wir lesen es bestimmt 3 oder 4 Mal die Woche und schauen uns den Film bei youtube an.
